A note from the President
Dear TXOLAN Members,
As we begin 2026, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your continued commitment to TXOLAN and to the alpaca industry. Serving as your President is truly an honor, and I am grateful for the trust and support you place in our leadership and organization.
TXOLAN continues to grow and evolve because of the dedication, professionalism, and collaboration of our members. Whether through sharing knowledge, mentoring others, supporting events, or simply showing up and engaging, each of you plays a vital role in strengthening our association and advancing alpaca excellence throughout the TXOLAN five-state region—Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
This year’s theme embraces the spirit of Valentine’s Day, and we encourage everyone to join in the fun—especially by dressing to complement the theme at our banquet. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate both our community and the friendships that make TXOLAN special.
We are also excited to once again welcome the Aces Loaded Auction team, who will be bringing their event back to TXOLAN on Friday evening. Their continued partnership adds tremendous value to our annual gathering.
In addition to hosting top-quality halter shows for both Huacaya and Suri alpacas, a large walking fleece show, a separate fleece show, and an extensive lineup of youth events, our focus remains centered on education, connection, and opportunity. We are committed to providing meaningful learning experiences, fostering strong relationships among members, and creating spaces where ideas, best practices, and innovation can thrive. Your Board of Directors continues to work diligently to ensure TXOLAN remains a valuable resource and a strong voice for our industry.
I would also like to recognize and thank our Board of Directors for their time, dedication, and willingness to serve. This year, the terms for the Vice President, Secretary, and Member-at-Large positions will expire. Each of the current board members serving in these roles has expressed their willingness to stand for re-election. Any member who wishes to run for one of these positions is encouraged to contact my office, and we will ensure your name is placed on the ballot.
As we move forward together in 2026, I encourage every member to stay involved, share your ideas, and take advantage of the opportunities TXOLAN offers. Your participation is what makes this organization strong.
